Our take on Mittelland AD
The broad political and economic structure trades immediate focus for variety: commerce, offices, dynastic ambition, random events, and military conflicts all compete for attention within the same historical campaign.
What is Mittelland AD?
Set in Germany from 1600 onward, this political and economic simulation combines commerce, office-seeking, intrigue, and conflict.
Players build a dynasty, trade 15 goods across three counties and 10 cities, pursue 40 political offices, and navigate disasters, random events, sieges, robber camps, and customs forts. Thirty missions provide different objectives and difficulty levels. Interactive scenes cover trials, appointments, auctions, and combat situations. The game supports local or online hotseat play for up to six participants through Steam Remote Play Together. It includes German and English text, voiceovers, and a manual, along with historical information about European politics. This revised edition of Die Fugger 2 also includes updated music, bug fixes, and new English language support.
