Instead of treating simulation as management of money, schedules, or systems, Mission Runway focuses on visual creation. Its structure replaces long-form administration with themed design assignments, styling choices, model presentation, and a final runway-show goal.
What is Mission Runway?
Mission Runway is a fashion-design simulation built around 10 themed challenges, including space- and opera-inspired assignments.
Players create outfits in a Design Studio with more than 100 outfit combinations, then style models with makeup such as foundation, blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. Handbags, jewelry, eyewear, hats, and other accessories can be added to complete each look. Models are dressed for judging, with color and accessory choices forming part of each ensemble. A dedicated photo screen allows players to capture their designs and select a backdrop. The overall progression centers on competing in creative challenges for the chance to present completed creations at a major runway event.
