What is Minigunner®?
Minigunner® is a twin-stick wave-defense roguelike set at a frozen mining outpost.
As a hired mercenary, the player protects a reactor powering a distress beacon from alien gloops that fire plasma projectiles. Combat involves shooting, dodging, and combat rolls while increasingly dangerous waves attack the outpost. Scrap can be spent in shops on items, sentry turrets, and automated drones. Items can work together to create different builds, and a random shop option offers legendary items at a lower cost. Barricades, teleporters, vents, doors, and a drawbridge affect enemy routes and defensive positioning. Bosses appear during the defense, while achievements unlock additional items, playable characters, and other content. The run ends when the reactor is defended until reinforcements arrive.
