- Players looking for cooperative or multiplayer shooting may not find the single-pilot setup suitable.
Our take on Oblivion's Edge
The bounce point arrives when the run depends on surviving repeated enemy waves rather than moving through exploratory levels. Minefield adds another sharp restriction by removing primary weapons and leaving only bombs, mines, and flares for combat.
What is Oblivion's Edge?
Oblivion’s Edge is an arcade-style twin-stick shooter built around surviving alien assaults as Earth’s last pilot.
Survival has the ship destroy enemy waves while escape pods leave orbit, with a mothership among the threats. Defend assigns protection of a damaged satellite while a repair bot works, with gun turrets providing support. Minefield removes the primary weapons and limits combat to bombs, mines, and flares. Classic sends increasingly fast enemies toward Earth, ending the run when too many pass through. The game includes multiple weapon boosters, deployable defensive items, boss encounters, and three difficulty settings for each mode. Input options include keyboard and mouse or Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers. It is available on PC, Mac, and Linux.

Oblivion's Edge compared to similar games
