Play it if you…
Good fit- Turn-based tactics fans who want character builds that can change combat roles
- RPG players who enjoy developing a squad across an extended campaign
- Players who prefer exploring a world and taking quests between tactical encounters
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a brief, tightly bounded campaign may find the roughly 16-hour journey too long.
- Players who prefer fixed character roles may not enjoy talent trees that can substantially alter how a character fights.
- Players looking for real-time combat may not want a turn-based tactical game.
Our take on Might is Right
Rather than keeping squad members in fixed tactical roles, the game lets talent choices redirect how they function in battle. Its exploration and questing also sit alongside turn-based encounters, giving the campaign both map travel and tactical combat.
What is Might is Right?
Might is Right is a turn-based strategy RPG in which a squad of up to 6 characters—one hero and 5 mercenaries—travels through a large world and fights enemy troops.
Exploration includes collecting treasure, visiting settlements, and completing quests; encounters switch to tactical combat, where retreat is also possible. Characters gain experience and levels, with no stated level cap, and earn talent points for individual talent trees. These trees can change a character’s combat role, such as turning a mage into a tank or a healer into a damage dealer. The campaign is about 16 hours and includes procedurally generated enemies, 8 heroes, 18 mercenaries, 8 boss battles, and 183 equipment items.
How Might is Right plays
- 01Character talent trees
- More than 200 talents let characters develop into different combat roles, including roles that differ from their starting archetypes.
- 02Exploration and combat modes
- The squad explores the map, visits settlements, and takes quests before enemy encounters shift play to turn-based battles.
- 03Procedural enemies
- The roughly 16-hour campaign uses procedurally generated enemy forces.
- 04Recruitable mercenaries
- The roster includes 18 mercenaries with different abilities, plus 3 unique mercenaries recruitable during the game.
