What is Miasmata?
Play as Robert Hughes, a scientist suffering from plague who arrives on a remote island to seek a cure and find colleagues at a research outpost.
Explore forests, camps, outposts and ruins, where maps, notes and clues provide leads. A dangerous creature can stalk Hughes over long distances; stealth and careful movement can let him evade it, while careless actions can bring a direct confrontation. Survival also involves finding plants and fungi to make medicines, along with water and shelter to manage fever, dehydration and exhaustion. The island map is built through triangulation: use landmarks to identify a position and chart the island’s contours and boundaries.
