Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking uninterrupted exploration may dislike repeatedly landing to search locations while the Seeker tracks activity.
- Players looking for a fast, combat-first experience may find scavenging, harvesting, construction, and crafting slow the pace.
- Players wanting a historical Wild West setting may not fit the monster-focused premise.
- Players seeking a purely aerial game may dislike that important exploration and resource-gathering activities occur on the desert floor.
Our take on Desert Skies
The bounce point arrives when landing becomes unavoidable: ground exploration combines scavenging and resource gathering with pursuit from beneath the sand. Players who want to remain airborne, or who dislike pressure during gathering and crafting, may stop there.
What is Desert Skies?
Desert Skies is a survival adventure set in a Wild West desert.
Players pilot a hot-air-balloon airship, land at abandoned towns, attacked outposts, underground caves, and other locations, then search for supplies and materials. Gathered resources support equipment, weapons, tools, crafting stations, and airship expansion. The Seeker hunts from beneath the sand whenever players land, adding danger to ground exploration. The story follows the sole survivor of an expedition organized by Nikola Tesla after a sandstorm destroys the original airship. Progress leads toward the heart of the desert, where players investigate the creatures’ origin and fight to stop them.
