Our take on Messiah
Instead of keeping the protagonist in a fixed role, the game makes possession its central structure. Progress depends on choosing whose body to occupy for combat, protection, or concealment among the population.
What is Messiah?
Play as Bob, a working-class angel sent by God to cleanse a corrupt future.
His possession ability lets him enter people, animals, and genetically engineered beings, then control their bodies. Hosts can provide weapons, physical strength, protection from harm, or concealment among the population. The game combines action, adventure, and strategic choices about which bodies to use and how to approach enemies. Combat actions include strangling, crippling, impaling, and incinerating opponents. Set in a grim cyberpunk world with religious themes, the story follows Bob’s attempt to save humanity and find Satan.
How Messiah plays

- Possessed characters can absorb damage intended for Bob.
- 04Host Combat
- Different bodies provide access to weapons, physical attacks, and lethal actions.
- 05Cyberpunk Setting
- The story takes place in a grim future shaped by cyberpunk and divine imagery.
