StrategyIs Spermicide worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players seeking an arcade-style defense challenge built around protecting an egg
- Players who want a second mode with a race toward an egg
- Players comfortable with deliberately crude pregnancy-themed humor
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a story-driven campaign may find the two opposing objectives leave little narrative structure.
- Players who want varied settings or objectives may find the focus on sperm and an egg repetitive across both modes.
- Players who prefer games without pregnancy-related subject matter may want a different theme.
Our take on Spermicide
The likely sticking point is the race mode’s route: wall-mounted turrets make reaching the egg harder, so players expecting an unobstructed sprint may hit resistance there. The defense mode also turns fertilization into a time-sensitive threat, requiring action before developing cells leave the area.
What is Spermicide?
Spermicide offers two roles built around reaching or defending an egg.
As a microscopic craft, destroy sperm and collect power-ups while protecting the egg; if sperm reaches it, destroy the developing cells before they leave the area. The alternate mode puts the player in control of one sperm racing against millions toward the egg. Turrets along the walls make the route harder. The two modes reverse the objective: one focuses on pregnancy prevention, while the other is about causing pregnancy.
How Spermicide plays
- 01Two opposing roles
- One mode has the craft defend the egg, while the other puts the player in a sperm racing toward it.
- 02Power-up collection
- Collect power-ups during the defense mode to support attacks on sperm.
- 03Wall turrets
- Turret placements along the route create hazards in the race mode.
