Our take on Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx
The game departs from flatter tactical battlefields by using 3D maps with elevation and a camera that rotates during the player’s turn. Party placement also affects support effects, making spatial arrangement part of the battle structure.
What is Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx?
Set in a fantasy world, Mercenaries Rebirth follows Princess Kiera and the Wild Lynx Mercenaries in pursuit of the sword of victory.
Battles take place on quarter-view maps with elevation differences, while front, back, and side positions affect outcomes. The placement of allied characters also determines support effects. Attacks and defenses fill a gauge that activates each character’s unique Rebirth Exceed skill, including attacks that deal major damage and abilities that revive fallen allies. Three-dimensional models create the battle maps, and the camera can rotate during the player’s turn to reveal hidden items. Options include toggling the grid, simplifying skill use, and increasing movement speed.
