Rather than centering combat, exploration, or racing, the game makes environmental destruction the primary objective. Driving becomes a demolition tool, while shoppers, getting stuck, and mall hazards replace conventional opponents and obstacles.
What is Mall Mayhem?
Mall Mayhem casts the player as a demolition driver using a car instead of a wrecking ball.
The main objective is to destroy as many objects as possible across six malls while avoiding shoppers and preventing the vehicle from getting stuck for more than a few seconds. Destroyed objects award points, which unlock abilities such as a speed burst, four falling steel balls, shopper phasing, radial force, a one-use respawn, and score-saving self-destruction. Optional modes add hazards including darkness, slippery floors, earthquakes, inverted play, dangerous walls, and crowded Black Friday conditions. Adjustable lives and score multipliers provide additional difficulty settings. The game includes six game modes, Steam achievements, and Steam Cloud save support.
