Our take on Madrobot X
Rather than centering on a lone hero, this shoot ’em up frames its action as an escape attempt involving a second robot. Its stated structure also includes a dedicated Nightmare Mode alongside escalating challenge and boss encounters.
What is Madrobot X?
Control a robot attempting to escape a mad scientist’s laboratory, with help from GoboGobo, another robot seeking escape.
The scientist tries to stop them as they fight through a shoot ’em up with increasing challenge, power-ups, and special skills. The game includes 12 bosses and a Nightmare Mode. Pixel art presents the action, while gameplay adjustments cover options such as hitboxes, touchscreen controls, and health recovery. Gamepad play offers two control layouts: one assigns movement to the left stick and shooting and beam movement to the right stick; the other uses the left stick for movement and beam control, with buttons for shooting. Music and sound effects can be muted separately, and a scoreboard is included.
