Our take on Made Marion
Rather than treating its heroine as a passive participant in a romance plot, the game makes Marion the force directing the story. Its central split also replaces a single route with two distinct settings: rebel action in Sherwood or political maneuvering in Nottingham.
What is Made Marion?
Play as Lady Marion, a noblewoman forced into an arranged marriage who becomes involved in conflicts surrounding Sherwood Forest and Nottingham.
After the prologue, a major decision sends the story toward either rebel-led Sherwood or politically tense Nottingham, with different characters and forms of intrigue in each setting. Role-playing choices shape Marion’s relationships and can lead to two happy endings per route. Other outcomes reveal details about the characters and wider world. The game includes romance, fantasy elements involving fae folk, political conflict, and adult themes. It is currently in Early Access, with routes for Robin Hood, Little John, and Will, the Scarlet Blade available. A route for Meissa is scheduled for 2026.
How Made Marion plays
- 01Two Story Branches
- A decision after the prologue directs Marion into either Sherwood’s rebellion or Nottingham’s political and espionage conflicts.
- 02Role-Playing Decisions

- 03Meaningful Bad Endings
- Some failed outcomes add context about the setting or characters and result from individual decisions.
- 04Adult Romantic Themes
- The cast is over 18, and the story includes sex-positive and LGBT-friendly relationship content.
- 05Alternate Medieval World
- Avalon combines a debt-ridden kingdom, political unrest, and an uneasy relationship between humans and fae folk.
