Recruit five characters from a roster of nine, then develop them through more than 200 skills, weapon sets, and combat roles. Battles use elemental interactions, enemy armor, weapon choices, positioning, and skill combinations. Each run follows a winding map containing random events, hidden rewards, and dangerous encounters. Death feeds permanent progression at the base camp, including stat improvements, character promotions, and stronger bonds with allies. Successful expeditions reveal clues about the island and its witch patron. Trials Mode adds customizable difficulty modifiers and rewards.
