Our take on Lords of the Realm II
The bounce point arrives when kingdom administration meets battlefield timing. Players can delegate some management to the Steward, but those wanting a focused castle-combat game will still encounter crops, taxes, weapons, alliances, and army management before reaching the throne.
What is Lords of the Realm II?
Lords of the Realm II combines turn-based kingdom management with real-time battles in 13th-century England and Wales.
Players raise armies from peasants, plant crops, collect taxes, produce weapons, build castles, form or break alliances, and conquer rival territories. Sieges take place in real time, while a Steward can handle some kingdom administration. Castle construction ranges from wooden keeps to stone fortresses. The package includes the original game and the Siege Pack, adding castles, battle maps, and scenarios. Multiplayer supports up to 4 friends over a LAN; internet play is no longer available.
