Our take on Loop8: Summer of Gods
The month-long loop gives choices room to reshape relationships and combat, but it also means revisiting the same stretch of time. That structure trades a continuously advancing timeline for repeated attempts to change the town’s fate.
What is Loop8: Summer of Gods?
Play as Nini, a teenager arriving in Ashihara in August 1983, with one month before the world may end.
Explore the rural town, spend time with its residents, and build relationships that affect turn-based battles against the Kegai. Nini can reset the world to the start of August, letting the group repeat the month while changing their actions and decisions. The game connects everyday events in town with encounters in the Underworld, and characters’ emotions and stories change in response to player choices. Repeated loops reveal different consequences and lead to multiple endings. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the game, a 23-song digital soundtrack, and an English digital artbook, “Ashihara Town Guide. ”
