Our take on Little Big Adventure 2
The anniversary additions update controls, presentation, and replay options, but the core experience remains a retro game from 1997. Its broad mix of puzzles, exploration, platforming, stealth, and combat may feel less focused than the space-threat premise suggests.
What is Little Big Adventure 2?
Play as Twinsen in a retro action-adventure set after the events of the first game.
When aliens from Zeelich arrive on Twinsun, Twinsen investigates their motives with help from Zoé and Jérôme Baldino. The game combines exploration, mystery-solving, puzzles, stealth, platforming, and combat across colorful islands and off-world locations. Progress includes becoming a wizard, improving magic, using weapons and items such as the Blowgun, Laser Gun, and Super JetPack, and traveling into space. The 25th-anniversary update adds New Game+ with selected end-game equipment, an adjusted exterior camera, Steam Achievements, controller support, input remapping, Steam Cloud Saving, language selection, and windowed play. Cartoon violence is present.
