Our take on Line War
The emphasis on strategic planning leaves the army scope easy to miss: Line War uses one army rather than multiple factions. Its variety comes from unit roles, construction, territory, and command-line tactics instead of faction-specific rosters.
What is Line War?
Line War is a real-time strategy game combining elements of 4X, wargames, and real-time tactics.
Players draw movement and attack orders on the map, filter units through command lines, and chain instructions for coordinated operations. Territory control expands building capacity and resource access, while refineries and power plants produce energy for tanks, aircraft, and naval vessels. The game uses one army with distinct unit roles and includes structures such as barracks, ports, towns, cities, industries, and trade routes. Online matches support up to 8 players in duel, team, free-for-all, and co-op modes, with 0 to 3 AI players in each multiplayer setup. Single-player and co-op modes support up to 3 AI opponents.

- 06Energy Production
- Refineries and power plants generate energy used to maintain tanks, aircraft, and naval vessels.
- 07Asymmetric Matches
- The handicap system supports uneven matchups such as two players against one.
