We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Space-survival players who want to scavenge and build while stranded in orbit
- Crafting fans who prefer assembling a home from drifting debris over managing a conventional base
- Co-op groups interested in a survival game that can also be played solo
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fast-paced action loop may find the focus on gathering, construction, and survival upkeep slow.
- Players looking for a large, varied exploration map may find the current scope limited to 10 biomes across two belts.
- Players who want a finished release may not want an Early Access game whose updates can change with community feedback.
Our take on Life Not Supported
The central constraint is that the survivor remains tethered to the wreck while floating out to collect materials for a replacement vessel.
What is Life Not Supported?
Life Not Supported is a space-survival game about a lone survivor tethered to the remains of a ship in orbit around a possible home planet.
Float out to collect drifting resources, secure air tanks, and use salvaged materials to assemble a vessel. Craft tools and build platforms and walls to expand a structure that serves as a home and can withstand asteroid showers. Survival tasks include monitoring oxygen, filling a spacesuit container with water, melting ice, and growing plants.
The game can be played alone or with friends. Explore 10 biomes across two belts and investigate the ship’s malfunction and the fate of its crew. The game is in Early Access, and the vendor notes that updates may change in response to community feedback.
How Life Not Supported plays

- 03Survival needs
- The survivor must watch oxygen supplies, obtain drinking water from ice, and grow plants.
- 04Two orbital belts
- Exploration currently covers 10 biomes spread across two belts.
- 05Solo or co-op
