Our take on Lethal Dungeon
The fixed opening hand creates tightly bounded combat puzzles, but it limits improvisation when the available cards cannot produce a winning sequence. Money-based redraws add a recovery option while making resource management part of the constraint.
What is Lethal Dungeon?
Lethal Dungeon is a roguelike card game focused on single-turn battles.
Each encounter must be cleared using only the cards in the opening hand. Using fewer cards earns more rewards. Money can pay for a shuffle and new draw when an enemy blocks progress, or upgrade the deck. Stronger enemies provide more money, creating a repeatable cycle of battles, resource use, deck improvement, and dungeon progression until the dungeon is cleared.
How Lethal Dungeon plays
- 01Opening-hand battles
- Every fight must be finished in one turn with the cards initially dealt.
- 02Card conservation rewards
- Using fewer cards during a battle earns more rewards.
- 03Money-based redraws
- Money can be spent to shuffle and draw when an enemy causes a setback.
- 04Deck upgrades
- Earned money can be used to improve the deck.
Lethal Dungeon compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines roguelike progression with deck-based combat, but its battles focus on positioning, attack timing, upgraded attack tiles, and skill combinations. Lethal Dungeon instead requires each encounter to end in one turn from the opening hand, with money providing redraws and deck upgrades.
