Our take on Be Silent
The focus on stealth and pursuit narrows the experience to cautious exploration, hiding, and short bursts of escape. The current one-level structure also gives up campaign breadth, leaving the story and world smaller until the planned additional levels arrive.
What is Be Silent?
Be Silent is a stealth horror game set in a strange garden after a kidnapping.
Explore the area to find clues and items while a monster patrols nearby. A flashlight provides light, but its battery gradually drains. Wooden planks can make noise, so movement must be slow when staying hidden; if the monster notices, sprint to a save room or hide in bushes while it searches. The current version includes one garden level, part of the story, hidden secrets, five difficulty settings, and a monster that becomes faster as stamina, health, and battery power decrease. It is an Early Access release with two additional levels planned for 2025/26.
How Be Silent plays
- 01Monster Evasion
- Players can flee to save rooms or conceal themselves in bushes while the creature searches.
- 02Five Difficulties
- Higher settings reduce stamina, health, and flashlight battery power while increasing the monster's speed.
- 03Environmental Clues
- Items, bones, hand prints, and hidden secrets provide details about earlier visitors and the surrounding story.
- 04Flashlight Management
- The available flashlight has a battery that gradually runs down during exploration.
