Our take on Legends of the Round Table
Permanent losses and aging create consequences that cannot be removed without changing the campaign's course. That persistence gives knight management weight, but it also sacrifices the safety of treating every failed battle or poor decision as a temporary setback.
What is Legends of the Round Table?
Guide Arthur's knights through adventures drawn from medieval stories, making decisions involving mercy, punishment, romance, and the kingdom's future.
Combat is turn-based and includes mounted lance charges, weapon changes by squires, prisoner-taking for ransom, duels, and permanent losses. Manage Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, Sir Percival, and more than a dozen other knights by assigning them to quests and overseeing their occupations, development, aging, conflicts, and deaths. Each knight has evolving traits, desires, strengths, weaknesses, and social preferences that influence challenges and party cohesion. A card system provides powers such as the Grail card. Hand-drawn environments draw on 13th-century illuminated manuscripts, while the music uses medieval instruments and adapted period compositions.
