Our take on Leave No One Behind: Ia Drang
Casualty evacuation defines the experience: dead and wounded American soldiers must be gathered and flown back to base, while neglecting them reduces point gains. Recovery is an operational responsibility alongside troop positioning and fire support.
What is Leave No One Behind: Ia Drang?
Command American troops during the 1965 battles for LZ X-Ray, LZ Albany, and the Plei Me special forces camp.
Missions inspired by historical events are joined by fictional side missions, with operations set during both day and night. Position infantry platoons, detach patrols, reinforce surviving units, and direct artillery, napalm aircraft, transport helicopters, gunships, and scouts. Artillery uses a coordinate grid for targeting and offers high-explosive, smoke, and phosphorus ammunition. Platoons that survive gain combat experience, while battle points fund personnel, equipment, artillery, and air support. Dead and wounded troops must be collected by stretcher and flown to base; neglecting this reduces point gains. Victory conditions determine progression through the missions.
