Our take on Last Labyrinth
Its focus on nonverbal cooperation makes interpreting Katia’s gestures part of the puzzle-solving, but limits direct verbal communication between the characters. The wheelchair-bound setup also constrains how the player moves through the mansion.
What is Last Labyrinth?
Last Labyrinth is an escape-room adventure in a mansion filled with concealed hazards.
Confined to a wheelchair, the player must cooperate with Katia, a girl whose fictional speech they cannot comprehend. They communicate through gestures while solving puzzles and seeking a way out. The game was created for VR, and a monitor mode allows play without a headset. It offers multiple endings and more than 10 hours of puzzle-solving. Menus are available in 12 languages, though Katia’s language is fictional. The story opens in an unfamiliar, dark room: the player finds themself strapped into a wheelchair and notices a girl standing nearby.
How Last Labyrinth plays
- 01Nonverbal communication
- Katia speaks a fictitious language, so cooperation relies on reading her body language.
- 02Multiple endings
- The escape-adventure has more than one ending.
- 03Monitor mode
- The Lucidity Lost update adds play without a VR headset.
