Our take on SKAZKA
The mixed design trades depth in any one genre for variety across quests, puzzles, turn-based combat, and platforming. Its nonverbal storytelling also gives up dialogue-driven exposition, leaving gestures and emotions to carry the narrative.
What is SKAZKA?
Follow a protagonist searching for a magical flower whose tincture can cure a terminally ill young woman.
The journey combines point-and-click quest elements with JRPG and arcade mechanics. Tasks from local residents, object searches, logic puzzles, riddles, and mini-games shape progress. Demons are fought in turn-based battles, while keyboard controls handle climbing trees or ropes and jumping across platforms; the mouse supports movement and object searches. The story is conveyed through gestures and emotions rather than dialogue or extended text. The game also includes achievements, vivid graphics, and musical accompaniment. Completing the journey requires using both a keyboard and a mouse.
