Is La Quimera worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- FPS players who want a story-led campaign rather than a purely competitive shooter
- Small groups who prefer cooperative combat for up to three players
- Players who enjoy changing equipment and tactics for different enemy types
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed shooter may bounce off the high-risk campaign and frequent faction battles
- Players who want a fixed weapon setup may find the equipment and exoskeleton customization system demanding
- Players looking for a solo-only experience may not want a game also structured around cooperative teams
Our take on La Quimera
The bounce point arrives when enemy variety demands more than straightforward shooting: flying, wall-climbing robots and heavily protected factions require different tactics. Players who want one reliable weapon pattern may hit that system quickly, especially when customizing abilities and exoskeleton parts becomes part of combat preparation.
What is La Quimera?
La Quimera is a story-driven first-person shooter set in a dystopian version of future Latin America.
Players take the role of a mercenary operative in 2064, moving through a megalopolis and jungle while fighting rival factions and robotic enemies. The campaign can be played alone or cooperatively with up to two other people. Combat combines futuristic weapons, exoskeleton equipment, and special abilities. Weapons, abilities, and exoskeleton parts can be selected and combined for different play styles and enemy types. Factions include charging bandits, long-range stealth fighters, and heavily protected elite troops. Robots can fly, climb walls, and move across ceilings, requiring different tactics. A combat AI provides tactical information and guidance.
How La Quimera plays
- 01Three-player cooperation
- The campaign supports solo play or teams of up to three mercenary operatives.
- 02Custom combat loadouts
- Players can combine weapons, abilities, and exoskeleton components for different enemy types and play styles.
- 03Mixed enemy factions

- 04Climbing robot enemies

- 05Combat AI guidance
- A personal artificial intelligence provides tactical information during danger and guidance in quieter areas.
