Play as Ruth in a world of 15 areas and 7 dungeons while trying to find the way home.
Explore maps, collect root vegetables, and use them as food, projectiles, or sources of abilities. Different vegetables have different effects: garlic grants temporary invincibility, potatoes provide access to otherwise unreachable places, and parsnips increase movement speed and change wind direction. Wake inhabitants to restore energy and open routes into new areas. The game also includes a dungeon-crawling section, where clues and bell sequences help reveal exits. Timing and uncovering parts of the map are part of dungeon exploration. The vendor warns that the game provides little guidance, and that missing control instructions or vegetable effects can leave progress blocked.
