Our take on Koma
The defining structure is exploration without tasks or specific goals: the character searches for an exit, but cannot die and has no reason to rush.
What is Koma?
Koma is the first episode of KOMA, in which the main character searches for an exit while moving through a digital-art world.
The setting combines scanned real-life locations with light-and-sound works by 404. zero, including a scan of the group’s studio. Movement consists of walking and running, with exploration rather than tasks or set objectives. Strange events occur along the way, and the character cannot die, so there is no need to hurry. Electronic music accompanies the experience; the tracks were made with modular synthesizers at Greenhouse studios in Iceland. The vendor gives the experience a 30-minute duration and says it suits people at any level of gaming experience.
