Our take on Kolumno
The focus on timing and a small set of ball abilities keeps the play centered on solving column puzzles. That focus leaves little room for the narrative, exploration, or activity variety found in broader game structures.
What is Kolumno?
Kolumno is a timing and puzzle game about guiding a ball through columns.
Players wait for the right moment to let it fall, then use abilities to change its movement or affect the rings: stopping in mid-air, speeding up its fall, shrinking rings, or breaking them. Puzzles call for planning and patience as well as reflexes. The game has 75 levels and four items that add complexity to the puzzles. Its presentation uses a minimalist visual style and a relaxing soundtrack. The core activity is repeated timing-based attempts, with the challenge coming from choosing when to drop the ball and which ability to use.
