Our take on Knight Bewitched
The Enhanced Edition receives substantial emphasis, but the core scope remains a 12–20 hour jRPG. Its feature list is broad, yet the store presentation gives less space to how those additions affect the central turn-based journey than to naming them individually.
What is Knight Bewitched?
Knight Bewitched is a turn-based jRPG centered on Ruth, a knight ordered to hunt Gwen, a witch accused of poisoning Northshire’s townsfolk.
After Gwen nurses Ruth through an illness, Ruth refuses to kill her and later seeks her help when an old threat returns. The party includes Ruth, Gwen, the elvish squire Stray and the rogue Uno. The Enhanced Edition adds 8-directional movement, auto-saving, auto-battle, interface changes, charm crafting, new and revised locations, enemies, bosses, equipment, secret areas and cutscenes. An in-game encyclopedia records the added content. The game offers three difficulty modes, SNES-style pixel graphics and an estimated length of 12–20 hours.
