Our take on -KLAUS-
The player accompanies Klaus rather than simply controlling him, and Klaus can acknowledge that presence or reject directions. This companion relationship is the defining structural choice across the game’s puzzles and narrative.
What is -KLAUS-?
Klaus is a 2D puzzle platform game about a character trapped in a mysterious basement who seeks the truth about his identity.
The player acts as Klaus’s companion, while Klaus acknowledges the player’s presence and may not always follow directions. A second character, K1, can join the journey; the two characters have different abilities and can be controlled separately or together to solve puzzles. Gameplay includes jumping over spikes, hacking computers, and avoiding danger. Interactive memories present playable sections with mechanics that differ from the main game. The structure includes 6 worlds, 34 levels, 100+ rooms, and 3 bosses. Hidden collectible levels, 2 endings, and a speedrun mode that becomes available after the main story add further content.
