Our take on Kite
The defining mechanic is kiting: firing backward while retreating from charging enemies, turning distance management into the central combat skill.
What is Kite?
Kite is an action game about reclaiming Arch City, a secret weapons facility occupied by rogue defense systems.
Players control a Human Operated Remote Droid and fight through squads of bots, turrets, and large bosses. Combat centers on kiting: moving away from charging enemies while firing backward to maintain distance. Destructible pixel-art environments support objective-based battles, while rescued scientists unlock more than 100 crafting designs. A 76-point skill tree provides upgrade combinations, and friendly mini-bots can join the fight. The game also includes a flexible scoring system for thorough runs and speedrunning, an original synthwave soundtrack, 3D sound effects, and 20 Steam Achievements.
