After the final Spire is opened, reality begins to break down, the skies darken, and the oceans empty. Farren returns home after a three-year journey to find his kingdom transformed. The game centers on isolation, exploration, story discovery, and defensive combat against enemies that are stronger than the protagonist. Weapons include swords, axes, a war hammer, staves, and an ultimate weapon that consumes life. Enemies use different senses, such as sight or hearing, and move independently.
