Our take on King's Bounty: Dark Side
Rather than placing players against darkness, this RPG makes dark factions the playable side. Its three heroes replace a single standard campaign route with distinct starting conditions, companions, abilities, and progression paths.
What is King's Bounty: Dark Side?
This independent King’s Bounty story places three dark champions—the Orc, Vampire, and Demoness—in command of opposing forces across an unexplored region of Teana.
Their campaigns differ through unique companions, abilities, starting conditions, narratives, and character growth. Exploration covers 15 areas, ranging from settlements and wilderness to dangerous territories and underground sites. More than 100 missions invite investigation, secret-finding, and artifact collection. Fights follow turn-based tactical rules, where formation, morale, unit talents, spell timing, army composition, and advance planning affect results. Specialized troops, relics, Rage abilities, and a battle companion broaden the available strategies. Recognizable factions become enemies while the story presents the fantasy setting from the viewpoint of its darker powers.
