Our take on Killing Zombies
The store copy gives substantial attention to the setting and zombie threat, but the playable structure is chiefly repeated wave survival. The stated goal of discovering the zombies' origin is not matched by details about investigation or mission variety.
What is Killing Zombies?
Killing Zombies is a horror survival shooter for HTC Vive with online co-op for up to four players.
Players take the role of a resistant soldier and fight undead creatures arriving from multiple directions. Combat follows successive waves that lead into more difficult stages, with points awarded for surviving. Players can switch among 30 weapons during battles, including pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, sub-machine guns, and assault rifles. The room-scale VR setting supports shooting and close-range attacks against growing groups of zombies. The stated objective is to destroy the creatures, discover the source of their creation, and stop the threat from spreading.
How Killing Zombies plays
- 01Four-Player Co-Op
- Online multiplayer supports groups of up to four players facing the undead together.
- 02Escalating Waves
- The stages become more difficult as increasingly large groups of zombies enter the fight.
- 03Thirty Weapons
- The arsenal includes pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, sub-machine guns, and assault rifles.
- 04Room-Scale VR
- The game uses a room-scale environment for its HTC Vive gameplay.
Killing Zombies compared to similar games
Unlike Killing Zombies, Abyssus combines multiplayer shooting with hand-crafted levels and roguelite progression, including weapon refitting with ancient technologies. Killing Zombies instead centers on room-scale HTC Vive combat against escalating zombie waves and lists 30 weapons.
