Our take on Kill The Music
The defining structure combines beat-matched attacks with roguelite progression: each run builds an instrument through timed combat, energy collection, and upgrades before boss fights reveal pieces of Roxie’s past.
What is Kill The Music?
Kill The Music is a rhythm-action roguelite about fighting enemy hordes with musical instruments.
Attacks follow the music, while timed presses increase their power. Building a combo enables hold attacks that automatically match the rhythm, allowing combat to continue without manual timing for every hit. Defeated enemies release energy that fills a meter; reaching 100% triggers a Solo that strengthens the equipped instrument. After each round, players select upgrades that accumulate over the run and shape the abilities used against larger groups of enemies. Boss fights mark the end of a run. Defeating bosses opens Roxie’s memories, gradually revealing the story of her burned music venue, deceased friends, and the spirits controlled by Death.
