We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fans of pixel shooters who want jetpack-based movement
- Players who want changing planets, enemies, bosses, weapons, power-ups, and difficulty
- Players looking for a shooter with both a story mode and a randomized arcade mode
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a deeply developed story may find the described narrative scope limited to Dave's situation on Gaia
- Players who prefer fixed arcade scenarios may not suit the changing planets, enemies, bosses, weapons, power-ups, and difficulty
- Players looking for crafting, shelter construction, or survival-management systems will not find those systems here
Our take on JETBOY
The bounce point is the randomized arcade structure: players who rely on fixed planets, enemy sets, bosses, weapons, power-ups, and difficulty may hit a wall when those elements change between plays.
