Our take on ItzaBitza
Rather than treating drawing as a separate creative activity, the game makes player-made pictures part of its core play structure. The objects drawn on screen influence characters and events, replacing a fixed environment with scenes shaped by each session’s drawings.
What is ItzaBitza?
ItzaBitza is a drawing game for early readers in which players create objects that affect the game world.
A house can change a character’s size, while drawn flames can launch a rocket. Players assist a Sketchy character by responding to prompts, drawing requested items, and completing star challenges. Winning stars opens five themed playsets: Home Sweet Home, Let’s go Camping, Play in Space, A Farm Life, and A VERY Scary Haunted House. Reading is part of progression, with spoken help available when the mouse hovers over an unfamiliar word. The game’s settings and interactive objects are shaped by each player’s drawings, so play sessions can vary according to what is created.
