Our take on iterform
Rather than treating failure as a simple reset to a checkpoint, the game makes the player create the point used for a future return. Its compact level structure and speedrun timing also depart from the longer campaign format common in platforming games.
What is iterform?
iterform is a minimalist hardcore platformer built around a replica mechanic.
Players can make a copy of their character and later return to that earlier copy as a respawn point. The game includes over 45 levels in six colors, with computer-composed music and roughly three hours of playtime. Ultra-pro speedrunners can complete it in about 30 minutes. It supports Linux and Windows and includes an external level editor implemented as a Python 3 script.

iterform compared to similar games
Unlike Sundered: Eldritch Edition, which is described as a chaotic metroidvania, iterform centers its play around player-created replicas and respawn positioning across a compact level set. SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER combines runner gameplay with shooting, while iterform focuses on hardcore platforming and its replica mechanic.
