Our take on It's a Wrap!
Its defining structure is the split between arranging a scene as director and performing that same scene as the star, with each role testing a different kind of timing.
What is It's a Wrap!?
Set in 1980s Hollywood, this puzzle platformer divides each scene between directing and acting.
In the director role, players arrange the timing of actors, props, and special effects so the sequence works without injuring Johnny Rush. After setting the scene, they control Johnny through 2D action based on the film being made, including platforming, car chases, and space battles. Each level presents a different movie genre and visual style inspired by 1980s blockbusters. Failed scenes can be rewound to their beginning, with Johnny facing cartoon-like deaths when timing or movement goes wrong. The game combines planning with scripted action sequences across low-budget films.
