Our take on ISOLATE
I-26 cannot stand until the time limit ends, so cameras provide the main means of managing threats across four cellar zones.
What is ISOLATE?
In ISOLATE, I-26 enters a secret biological experiment for payment and must endure two weeks in a vast cellar.
The character cannot stand until a time limit expires, so survival depends largely on using cameras to manage Entities across four zones. Around 28 Entity types can attack or interfere in different ways, and some disrupt the cameras. Players must learn how to counter their attacks. Each floor also has an Extra Entity that supports the others’ assaults. Surviving a floor allows I-26 to ascend and face another trial; higher levels bring more Entities and increased difficulty. The story leaves questions about the nature of the Entities and the presence awaiting I-26 at the cellar’s highest level.
How ISOLATE plays
- 01Four camera zones
- Cameras are the main way to manage Entities across four areas, though some interfere with camera use.
- 02Floor-specific Entity
- Each floor includes an Extra Entity that helps the other Entities attack.
- 03Escalating floors
- Moving higher in the cellar brings additional Entities and greater difficulty.
