What is Space Codex?
Space Codex is a casual retro arcade shooter viewed from above.
Waves of enemy spaceships attack with different weapons and behaviors, creating a bullet-hell challenge focused on staying alive. Power-ups available across the map give options for dealing with the incoming enemies. The difficulty continues to rise as play progresses. The game uses pixel-based retro visuals and a chiptune soundtrack, with music credited to Visager, sawsquarenoise, and TeknoAXE. Its structure centers on repeated enemy waves, varied hostile patterns, and collecting upgrades while attempting to survive for as long as possible.
