Our take on Isle of Pan
The photography focus gives the game a calm, exploratory structure, but that choice leaves little room for combat or conventional action challenges. Progress centers on finding creatures, recording them, and opening portals, so repeated play depends on continued interest in discovery and image-making.
What is Isle of Pan?
Explore a mysterious Nordic island while photographing more than 100 creatures, including cryptids, UFOs, and mythological beings.
A compendium records discoveries, unlocks information, and lets players choose a favorite image for each creature. Seventeen hidden pocket portals, plus a bonus Slideshow Portal, lead to dreamlike areas with additional inhabitants. Creative tools include fireworks, rainbows, and time-of-day changes. Photographs can be displayed on walls or exported to the desktop. New VR cameras and non-VR character skins become available as creatures are photographed. The game supports VR and non-VR play, with desktop play available in first- or third-person view.
