Skip it if you…

- Players looking for a non-VR game may want a different option.
Our take on Ironlights
Rather than letting melee attacks flow continuously, Ironlights makes weapons shatter on impact and requires a recovery swing before the next strike. That turns duels into exchanges shaped by timing, parries, and openings, instead of repeated unrestricted swings.
What is Ironlights?
Ironlights is a VR dueling game built around melee fights.
Players parry, block, and strike with weapons that have different weights and physics, ranging from greatswords to rapiers. Weapons break on impact and must be swung back behind the player before they can be used again, making combat a back-and-forth exchange rather than repeated unrestricted swings. Battles are available in online cross-platform multiplayer, and a single-player campaign offers a route through the league. Single-player games can also be played while waiting for a multiplayer match. After a battle, players can watch a replay and export a video of the match.
How Ironlights plays
- 01Weapon recovery
- A weapon shatters when it hits, so the player must swing it behind them to ready it again.
- 02Weapon variety
- The selection ranges from heavy greatswords to quick rapiers, with distinct weights and physics.
- 03Match replays
- Players can watch battle replays and export match videos.
- 04Cross-platform multiplayer
- Online duels support players on different platforms.
