Our take on Duelists of Eden
The deckbuilding and real-time combat create a demanding multitasking format: players must manage spells, positioning, and timing at once. That focus leaves less room for slower, turn-based planning or a campaign-led structure.
What is Duelists of Eden?
Duelists of Eden combines deckbuilding with real-time, card-grid fighting.
Players create spell decks, choose from more than 14 characters with different strengths and weaknesses, and adapt combos during battles based on the current situation and both players’ available spells. The game supports online matches with custom rollback netcode, plus local multiplayer that may require a controller. An editor stores and modifies an unlimited number of decks. Tutorial and training modes cover the mechanics, while training tools include hitboxes, character states, rapid deck changes, speed controls, and other options. Replay mode allows matches to be reviewed after they are played.
