Our take on Stardust Vanguards
Rather than keeping battles between fixed teams, the game introduces computer-controlled space pirates that can attack both sides and win the match. This creates temporary alliances and shifting priorities inside otherwise familiar arcade duels.
What is Stardust Vanguards?
Stardust Vanguards is a shared-screen dueling game for local multiplayer, supporting up to four players.
Players fight in arcade-style battles, earn reinforcement points by defeating enemies, and spend them to summon NPC allies. Random space-pirate events can introduce attacks, convoys, mercenaries, or larger assaults, with pirates able to win the battle themselves. Modes include deathmatch, team battles, Conquest, and Space Ball. Cooperative play supports one to four players across three difficulty levels, plus an endurance mode. Thirteen battlefields offer different offensive and defensive approaches. Custom deathmatch settings include ammunition, sword-only rules, reinforcement values, and pirate-event frequency.
