Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-adventure players who want shooting combined with puzzles and stealth

- Multiplayer groups seeking a war-themed action game with non-linear levels
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a linear campaign may find the repeated visits and multiple objective routes less suitable
- Players wanting a focused modern military setting may not prefer the mixture of World War I, World War II, and modern warfare elements
- Players looking for a climbing, runner, or roguelite structure rather than mission-based shooting and infiltration
Our take on Iron Storm
Rather than keeping its warfare in one historical period, the game combines trench warfare, World War II technology, and futuristic equipment in an alternate 1964. Its six non-linear levels also replace a strictly forward-moving mission structure with revisits and varied objective routes.
What is Iron Storm?
Set in Western Germany in March 1964, Iron Storm imagines a world where World War I never ended.
As Lieutenant James Anderson, players infiltrate enemy territory and destroy key positions across six non-linear levels. Missions require revisiting sections and offer multiple ways to complete objectives. Gameplay combines shooting with puzzle solving, stealth, and single-player or multiplayer action. The battlefield includes trenches, barbed wire, bunkers, mines, gas warfare, and snipers. Weapons and equipment span several eras, including automatic weapons, radar, tanks, flamethrowers, helicopters, lasers, and electronics. The game also links the fighting to a stock market that directly affects the conflict.

Iron Storm compared to similar games
Iron Storm combines infiltration, puzzle solving, stealth, and shooting across six non-linear levels, while Abyssus centers on multiplayer shooting through hand-crafted levels in a roguelite structure. Abyssus also focuses on brine-powered weapons and weapon refitting with ancient technologies, which are not part of Iron Storm's described scope.
