Our take on Syberia - Remastered
The focus on a directed, story-centered journey limits the emphasis on combat and open-ended play. Its remaster updates presentation and gameplay, but the experience remains tied to the structure and narrative of the original 2002 adventure.
What is Syberia - Remastered?
New York attorney Kate Walker arrives in a secluded village in the French Alps to arrange the transfer of an automaton factory.
The task takes a different direction when she follows Hans Voralberg, an inventor pursuing reports of surviving mammoths on the legendary island of Syberia. With Oscar, an unusual mechanical companion, Kate crosses Eastern Europe, exploring abandoned locations and encountering eccentric people. This remastered edition refreshes the original adventure’s graphics and gameplay while preserving its narrative. It returns to the clockwork-inspired world, settings, and cast created by Benoît Sokal for the first Syberia, which debuted in 2002.

Syberia - Remastered compared to similar games
Syberia - Remastered follows a lawyer and an automaton through a directed narrative investigation, while Jusant centers on climbing, stamina management, route choice, and environmental discovery. Jusant also frames its journey around reaching the top of a tower and uncovering a vanished civilization rather than pursuing an inventor across Eastern Europe.
