Our take on Invasion Machine
The campaign frames the commander’s task around restoring order and winning local trust, but also makes press management and keeping the official account intact part of the mission. That tension is central to the stated premise, rather than a purely military objective.
What is Invasion Machine?
Invasion Machine combines real-time strategy with sandbox management in a fictional occupied province.
Command a small force as it tries to restore order, protect civilians, and contain local armed groups. The eight-chapter campaign begins with limited troops and worn equipment; better resources depend on proving the force’s value to superiors. Missions include patrols, convoy operations, evacuating wounded soldiers, retrieving vehicles, gathering intelligence, and providing humanitarian help. The commander also manages relations with locals and controls how the press sees the conflict. Enemy forces scout for units, ambush patrols, set off IEDs, and target VIPs. Soldiers can bleed after being wounded or react with frenzy when a comrade is killed. The campaign concludes with securing the province and holding elections.
