Our take on InkSplosion
Instead of moving through a campaign of stages, InkSplosion keeps play on one screen and makes beating a previous score the central goal. Its endless levels and three modes shift the focus toward repeated arcade runs and rising challenge.
What is InkSplosion?
InkSplosion is a single-screen twin-stick shooter built around surpassing a previous high score.
Its levels continue endlessly and are decorated by the player’s colorful ammunition. The game includes 3 modes: Normal, Arena, and Hard. Normal gives way to Arena and Hard as tougher options for players seeking a greater challenge. Five weapon types provide different ways to shoot, and in-game achievements track accomplishments. The soundtrack is by Levi Bond, with voice-over by Barry Dunne. The presentation draws on modern and old-school shooters, while the play centers on score chasing rather than a sequence of stages with a stated endpoint.
